  • TotalEnergies plans to replace two flexible jumpers of the North FPSO.
  • During the jumpers’ replacement offshore works, the FPSO heading will be controlled by means of tugs connected to the FPSO stern via towlines.
  • DVO has been asked to perform a dynamic analysis of the system to verify that the dynamic analysis of the system to verify that the dynamic loads on the towline assembly do not exceed the safe working load (SWL).
  • Distance to shore : 150km from the coast of the Republic of Angola

  • Verification of towline composition against “DNV-SE-0122” and “DNV-ST-N001”
  • Modeling of the towing system on Orcaflex
  • Verification of the towing system for controlling the heading of the Kaombo Norte FPSO sing Orcaflex dynamic analyses
  • Static determination of the towline chain based on the applied tension and the draft of the FPSO.
